There are two detectives within the section that are assigned to the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, who work in conjunction with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Department of Justice to identify and prosecute child predators on the web. All of the detectives assigned to the section are responsible for processing crime scenes, interviewing witnesses, victims, and suspects; tracking and recovering stolen property; and compiling thorough investigative files for prosecution of offenders within the various courts of Troup County.
