The LaGrange Police Department is hosting free Civilian Response to Active Shooter Event, or C.R.A.S.E., training. The training will be held Tuesday, January 14th, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at LaGrange Police Department Training Center, 376 Aerotron Parkway, LaGrange, GA.
The Training Unit is tasked with providing initial and in-service training to all department personnel. Supplemental instructional duties include presenting new employee orientation courses, administering hiring boards, coordinating Citizens Police Academies, and conducting police training at the Regional Police Academy. Unit members coordinate and conduct research to ensure that existing and new courses provide contemporary law enforcement training for employees and to identify new products or services that aid officers increasing effective service delivery to the community. They are also responsible for the LEAD and School Resource Officer Program.
